Logistics camp 2008

2 hrs of coiling wires, microphones "know-it all", mixer, scenario training, locked in "cage"
these are the highlights of the recent logistics camp held on Sat.22nd March from 8am -5pm

I'm sure for those who came learnt a lot from this logistics camp. Besides learning, as participants, we've learnt the importance of bonding, teamwork etc.

The logistics camp is a start. Its a Initiation/investiture for logisticians. Its for us to learn what's logistics all about. what we do. who we are.

The most important issue of all was the 2 questions Sis Evan asked.
1. Why did you serve?
2. Is serving the Greatest responsibility as a Christian?

I'm sure we know the answers ourselves.

I thank all who have attended this camp. I thank Bro Wen Yao, Sis Evan, Bro Aaron & Sis Jia Hui from YF ( English service) to take time to train us. The camp was a successful one !

Let us remember God's love for us.

Easter

Our God has risen !
Our God has conquer death !
Amen !

Today is Easter. Let us all remember that Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior has risen from the dead. He has given us eternal life. Let us always remember how great is this God. We aren't deserving people. but he chose to die for us on the cross so that we have eternal life. Let us start sharing this great gospel to our friends, non Christians around us. Let them know that there is a Lord and Savior, who have died and washed away our sins. Let us continue to be a testimonial for Christ. Be the Salt and the Light of the land !

Sharing for stations of the cross

hi all.

I'm sure those who have attended the stations of the cross yesterday have many mixed feelings. From how Christ was punished to how Christ was laid in the tomb. I'm sure during the stations of the cross, we have learnt and experienced many things. I urged all to start the flows of sharing. Just simply click on the "comments' link and let your sharings flow.

Voice of Truth

But the voice of truth tells me a different story
the voice of truth says "do not be afraid!"
and the voice of truth says "this is for my glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

To stand before a giant
with just a sling and a stone
Surrounded by the sound
of a thousand warriors
shaking in their armor
Wishing they'd have had the strength to stand

But the giant's calling out
my name and he laughs at me

well, i do hope everyone did enjoyed it. it talks about one person's faith. talks about our reliance on Him.since this week is Passion Week, hope that everyone can think through what you have done that pleases Him or not.

Passion Week

From today till the end Friday next week, it is known as the "Passion Week" in the Christian Calender. The GUM Media will provide devotional materials for all to meditate and reflect on God's Word and His great Love for us. We hope that through these materials, youths of GUM will not only remember Good Friday or Easter, but remember the month long before Easter. Let's remember how Christ have died on the cross for us.

Stations of the cross - A Joint Event by the GUM -Youths and Youth Adults Fellowship

On Sat, 22nd Mar, a joint event by theophilus YAF and the Youth Fellowship will allow the youths to experience "Stations Of the Cross" the first ever in Glory Church. All youths and young adults are strongly encouraged to attend. Details will be released through the various fellowships.

Urgent Prayer Request

Pray for Pr.Yip who is currently on a mission trip in China with members of the church. Pray for safety and journey mercy as he and his team arrived in Har Er Bin yesterday. Pray for conversion of the people in China.
